Partypoker.com: A Real Review
Partypoker.com was once the largest online card room in the entire world. That changed quickly abruptly when it withdrew from the United States market. Even with its withdrawal, the site has managed to stay within the top 10.
That is due, at least in some part, to the fact the site has started a very limited return to the United States market. It may just end up getting to the top again, and with good reason.
Key Features
Customization
This is a really unique feature on this site. Players can pick a number of themes to suit their preferences, something I’ve found isn’t really available on a lot of other gaming sites. If you want to use a certain avatar, simply upload it.
Plenty of Banking Options
It is really easy to move money on this site. In fact, it is the easiest I have found in my exploration of gaming sites. There is just very little fuss and there are no hoops to jump through. The options available does depend on your location, so that is something to keep in mind.
For the most part, the standard options for depositing into your account include personal checks, credit cards, bank transfers, wire transfers and eWallets. These same options exist for withdrawing money as well but with withdrawals you can also receive a check through a courier service.
Noteworthy Weaknesses
Software
The software issues on this site has plagued it for quite some time. It always seems to have some bug impacting player experience. That said, when it isn’t buggy, it runs pretty smoothly. The card room works with iOS, PC, Mac and Android.
Lacking Bonuses/Promotions
Bonuses and promotions are not a strength on this site. A lot of the sites in competition with Partypoker.com offer five options or more. On Partypoker.com, you’re lucky to get just a couple.
When you first sign up for the site, you’ll get a complimentary $25. That cash breaks out as $10 for poker games, $5 for high roller tournaments and $10 for casino games. The second bonus option is to get a 100% bonus the first time you deposit into your account. That bonus money is deposited in 10 different installments.
Pros
- Lots of banking options
- Options for customization
Cons
- Very limited bonuses/promotions
- Buggy software
